CHARACTERISTICS: round wings, anterior ones mainly white with brown to black spots and a discoidal mark; posterior wings with greenish matrix, irregular white patches with pearly reflexes; light and hairy body; filiform flat-tipped antennae. DEVELOPMENT: indirect. ECOLOGY AND BEHAVIOUR: present all over the country but more frequent in the interior; feeds mainly on crucifers; can be observed from March to July in a wide variety of habitats (open areas, field borders and forests, mainly oak woodlands).
