OCCURRENCE: summer nesting migrant.
CHARACTERISTICS: light brown back, reddish tail and creamy belly.
FOOD: invertebrates, berries and seeds.
ECOLOGY AND BEHAVIOUR: terrestrial; difficult to observe, hides among the foliage; one of the few passerines that vocalizes at night; songs composed of long and varied melodies.
