OCCURRENCE: breeding resident.
CHARACTERISTICS: black coloured back and mask, white breast and belly, orange top and back of the head; slightly curved beak.
FOOD: insects, occasionally other invertebrates.
ECOLOGY AND BEHAVIOUR: terrestrial; lands on high and exposed places to survey its territory and hunt.
