CHARACTERISTICS: annual or biennial herb, sometimes with reddish branches, with glandular hairs (which secrete substances e.g. oils); yellow flowers in small
heads.
ECOLOGY: temporarily flooded places.
OBSERVATIONS: despite of being an European endemism, it has spread to other parts of the world.
