CHARACTERISTICS: the body is very similar of that of the previous species but with a sexual dimorphism at the coloration pattern level; males have a light-blue head and abdomen with black spots, whilst the females are brown with black spots.
DEVELOPMENT: indirect.
ECOLOGY AND BEHAVIOUR: like previous species, this dragonfly can be observed from March to September, flying over water bodies such as lakes, rivers of low current and irrigation channels; while the adults feed on terrestrial prey and during the larval state on aquatic organisms.
