CHARACTERISTICS: light brown colour; cephalothorax with a characteristic radial pattern; eight eyes: four small in a line, two large above it, two on the back of the cephalic area.
DEVELOPMENT: direct.
ECOLOGY AND BEHAVIOUR: common throughout the country; generalist predator; active ground-hunter; after the eggs hatch, females carry the juveniles on their backs.
