CHARACTERISTICS: lance-shaped oval leaves with flat margins; pear-shaped capsule with developed peristome teeth.
ECOLOGY: forms dark green tufts on holm oak trunks.
DISTRIBUTION: rare species, integrated in red lists and books from several countries, including Portugal.
