SUBSTRATE: epiphyte, more frequent on the trunk parts seldom wetted by rain, and on inclined trees.
CHARACTERISTICS: looks like a powder, composed of more or less individual granules (under a lens); it has a unique yellow color, with a goldenfluorescent glow.
NAME’S ORIGIN: Greek chrysos, gold; Latin candĕo, bright.
