CHARACTERS: anterior wings’ superior sides are orange with balck spots and greyish margin and inferior sides are pale orange with black spots; posterior wings’ superior sides are grey with a line of black spots and orange margin and inferior sides are whitish with black spots and orange line. DEVELOPMENT: indirect. ECOLOGY AND BEHAVIOUR: nectarivorous; pollinator; spend Winter in crisalida phase; males await perched in leaves or flowers for the females to pass by and differentiate them by wing patterns.
