CHARACTERISTICS: rough scales; grey, green or brownish dorsal scales except along the sides where they form two whitish and two green to yellow longitudinal lines; neck collar somewhat visible.
FOOD: spiders, beetles, grasshoppers and ants.
ECOLOGY AND BEHAVIOUR: terrestrial and a climber; can release the tail if threatened; produces sounds for an unknown purpose.
