OCCURRENCE: breeding resident.
CHARACTERISTICS: bluish-grey back and head, orange breast and belly, black mask; straight and relatively long beak.
FOOD: insects, occasionally seeds.
ECOLOGY AND BEHAVIOUR: terrestrial; excellent climber, it can descend a tree head down; uses tree holes for nesting.
