OCCURRENCE: summer nesting migrant.
CHARACTERISTICS: male with blue-grey head; female brown-coloured; yellow, short and curved beak; yellowish legs.
FOOD: insects, small birds, reptiles and rodents.
ECOLOGY AND BEHAVIOUR: raptor; nests in ruins forming colonies of tens of couples; vocalization sound sounds like “tchak-tchak-tchak”.
