OCCURRENCE: breeding resident.
CHARACTERISTICS: greenish-grey coloured back, yellow belly, black head; white faces with black collar extended to the belly, forming a black stripe.
FOOD: insects.
ECOLOGY AND BEHAVIOUR: terrestrial; it is the largest of the Portuguese tits and the one that spends more time on the ground foraging for food.
